>_< Nanioshteimaska!!

As the end of August approaches . . . so does the end of my valid drivers license. So far- Government-3, Ben-0. Three trips with nothing or little to show. Just in case any of you have to romp in Bush's Homeland Security goodness bring: birth certificate, passport, marriage license, old license, W2's, tax records for the previous 3 years (in state only), college transcripts, 4 pieces of mail (postmarked within 6 days)(cellphone related mail doesn't count), and twenty bucks. Silly me that I forgot a few of those items on my three trips, and having the list piecemeal fed to me. Hopefully Monday . . . . it hasn't been the greatest Friday the 13th.

I did see Inception! I'd love to discuss it with someone, I think its "one of those movies." If you haven't seen it- I'll add my recommendation to Karen's. If you have- call me sometime before school starts.

Bought a new board game, called Smallworld, its like a combination of Pirates Cove and Risk (if you've played both those), that brings me up to 4-5 games now, yipee. Its a very fun game, visually and play.

At the beginning of this week I had to start thinking about work again. sigh. (now into actual blog post) The guy over junior high CTE (techy or engineery) classes is missing a few parts, it was actually during these two days when I actually put my finger on it. He looks (and speaks, and mannerisms, etc) like Barney from the Andy Griffith Show. He has a lot of departments grumpy about CTE as a whole now. Anyway, we held a refresher course for one of the classes we teach. Out of the two days about 90 minutes was actually useful, all coming from the same teacher, I wish he presented more. I had to teach the portion about the programming language that the mechanics use (like legos, but called fischer-technik). Some of these older teachers are worse learners than most of my students. I talked about the programming that went into a simple 8 button blender and you would have thought that I blew they minds with high-end astrophysics. Why are so many people's brains turned off all the time? If you have a real advice or real consoling, I would love to hear, I need to cope.

This week in cooking:
taco soup,
pork chops in pfeffer sauce with yummy potatoes
Hungarian beef sauce over Spatzle (home made)
Vienna Snitzel with lemon

all were very tasty, I think I might have to start uploading them to the family cooking blog, I've been trying really hard to remember to take pictures of all the meals, have only remembered once.
